Overview
Rocker switches are standard light switches that provide local control. Almost any rocker switch can be used with Hausmate system.
Rocker switches on CAT5 cables are powered by 5Vdc, this means they can be safely installed inside bathrooms as well.
Wiring rocker switches
Rocker switches can either be wired directly to the CAT5 cable in the wall or to a short cable with a RJ45 socket so that the CAT5 cable in the wall can easily be plugged into it using an RJ45 plug. This allows for easy testing of the CAT5 cable in the wall using a ‘network tester’.
