Overview
CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) sensors are important for monitoring air quality in order to prevent drowsiness and loss of concentration.
The levels of CO2 are measured in ppm (Parts Per Million).
If requested, this sensor will be installed in the Ceilling sensor unit.
CO2 Level (ppm) | Details |
360 - 390 | Outside "fresh air" |
1000 | concentration level drops |
10,000 | drowsiness |
100,000 | death |
Hardware
The sensor currently used is COZIR, an ultra low powera and high performance sensor. It uses Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) absorbtion method, which measures the amount of infra-red light absorbed by CO2 molecules.
Features:
Operating conditions - temperature | 0°C to 50°C -25°C to 55°C (extended range) |
Operating conditions - pressure | 950mbar to 1050mbar |
Operating conditions - relative humidity(RH) | 0 to 95% |
Measurement range | 0 to 5000 ppm |
Accuracy | ±50 ppm at +/- 3% of readings |
