Overview

The External sensor unit is similar to the Ceilling sensor unit, but is designed to be fitted outside.

It houses temperature, humidity, ambient light and PIR sensors.

In a typical installation there is an external sensor unit on the North and South faces of the main building.

Hardware information
The External sensor unit is an IP66 box of 110 x 110 x 60 mm. Leave space for cable gland if required.
It uses RJ45 terminated CAT5 cables to connect the sensors to the Zone Gateways (ZG).

The ambient light and humidity sensors are the same as in the ceilling sensor unit, the thermopile sensor is replaced by a standard plastic bodied temperature sensor (LM35CAZ) and the occupancy sensor is an external PIR. If requested, multiple PIRs can be wired in parallel to the External sensor unit  using the 6 way spring clamp connector, or the AUX pin4 (auxiliary RJ45 connector).
