1. HOW AUDIO WORKS WITH HAUSMATE


The Hausmate Audio app allows users to play music and other audio from many different sources: a personal music library, Spotify, internet radio and others. Different audio tracks can be played in different rooms in the house and the audio can be muted when the doorbell rings. Music can be started, stopped and tracks changed with full control over the volume.


The Hausmate systems is currently compatible with Sonos and Logitech Squeezebox.


Hardware required for Audio:

  • Sensor Unit
  • The Host
  • Zone Gateway
  • The Haze
  • Speaker system -  at request, this can also be supplied by Hausmate.


2. HOW TO USE THE APP



The Audio can be controlled in two different ways: through the Haze or the User Interface (UI).


Through the Haze: 



  • By default, the Audio is marked by colour BLUE, but this may have been changed by the user
  • Press and hold until you get the right colour
  • Release the button on the right colour - the LED should start pulsing on that colour
  • Turn from side to side to start to turn the volume up or down
  • Click to pause or play
  • Click, hold and turn to change the tracks backwards or forwards

Through the UI:

Note: The UI allows the user to turn music on/off, to change to the next or previous track and to control the volume. In order to add or change the music source (e.g Spotify, Internet Radio, mp3 etc) or to create and manage playlists, you will have to access the media server page of your installed system (Logitech or Sonos).

  • Log in to the UI - click here if you need help to log in to the UI.
  • From the Home page, select the desired Zone
  • Note that if music is playing in a zone, a black speaker icon will appear on the corresponding icon
  • At the bottom of the page, click on the speaker icon - this represents the Audio page
  • The page will display the last track that was playing; skip to next or previous by using the buttons
  • Click and drag the volume bar accordingly



To edit the set up of the Audio app: 
  • Log in to the UI - click here if you need help to log in to the UI.
  • On the Home Page, click on the menu button, at the top left hand corner
  • Select Settings
  • At the top of the page, click on the arrow and select Music Player
  • The page will display information about all audio players installed in the property. 
  • You can add new audio players or edit the settings for the current ones.

  • Click on EDIT to change the settings for a player; Choose the location, the player type and the Haze that it will be controlled through. The IP address and Port should not be changed. Click on SAVE for any changes or on CANCEL to go back
